I don't think it is common knowledge that one of the most interesting churches in Yerevan can be found in Nork taghamas. It was built in the early 1900s thanks to the generosity of Ter-Avetikian family (who were one of the richest business owners in Yerevan at the time). The style of the church while being very traditional, also has some references to "Armenian" Art Nouveau (imho, I'm sure many will disagree) - a lot of Armenian architects of the time were under the strong influence of this new European modernist movement, and I'd hazard a guess that the architect of the church is Mehrabian, who built quite a few houses in the same style.
