I have not read anything about you. I have not read any other works you might've written. I have only read this story in the course of two nights, and I must say that I am in awe of you.

Your writing is impeccable, technically speaking. Grammar was pretty dead-on, typos were almost non-existent. But what I am truly in awe of is your storytelling.

Obviously, I am a huge MCR fan, hence my being brought to this story. I'm also a...supporter, for lack of a better word, of 'Frerard.' I wouldn't say I'm a fan because that would be objectifying any feelings they actually have for one another, which would be cruel and inappropriate, but I certainly enjoy the idea. I digress.

This story is incredible. Despite being completely fictionalized (I'm not entirely familiar with fan fiction, but this would be an 'AU' story, right?) it was uniquely sincere in that I, a fan of nearly a decade, had no trouble whatsoever picturing my boys, our boys, as the characters with their respective names.

The plot was amazing, if a bit far-fetched, and I even turned down going to see a movie to come home and finish the tale tonight.

The characters themselves, from Gerard to Brendon and from Jasper to Markman, were all impeccably developed. I catch myself idolizing Markman, since I hope to be a psychiatrist one day.

The information incorporated, from the locations mentioned to the details about how the train schedule was structured was enormously impressive (I wonder if you did some research while writing?)

The level of detail in and of itself was astounding. Everything from the cornflakes and peanut butter sandwiches and Bluestone to the painting in Markman's office (done by pre-relapse Gerard, I'm guessing?)kept me "inside" the story, kept it believable.

And, if you don't mind me straying from my master plan of inflating your ego greatly enough so that you decide (if you haven't already) to pursue a career in creative writing (which dear god, you should,) I would like to tell you why I'm sitting in my chair, still sniffling.

Maybe it's just because I wanted to believe it.
Maybe it's because I wanted it for Gerard.
But I believed that Frank really had come to visit him in Chapter 20.
Now I come to the FAQ's, hoping to see what exactly Gerard's ninth secret was, and see that...that Frank wasn't there?
Even typing this, I've started crying again. Tragic is really the only word for it. Tragic, that those equally tragic lips wouldn't get to bid a final farewell to their lover's.

So, in an attempt to regain some composure, I'm going to close out this rant with a two-parted plea.

1. Please, please, please, for the sake of all your past, current, and potential readers, keep writing. And, if I'm allowed to be selfish here, consider doing it on a publishing house scale. Your talent is too great to be undiscovered. If you need help getting your foot in the door somewhere, let me know. I will exploit every resource I have. You can contact me on my facebook. 2. I'm sure others have asked you for this, and I apologize for not looking to see yet if they have, but...please reveal those 24 words. Surely you know them, and didn't just make up that number. Surely you have, tucked safely away from -them-, the 9th secret. So, still sniffling in my chair after crying a second time, I'm begging you for it. I'll keep it safe. I promise.

Is it too forward of me to say I officially love you?
Thank you so much for such an honest and amazing comment. I really really appreciate everything you've said and thank you so much for reading my story :)

In answer to your question, I think this is classified as an AU story because it takes place out of the traditional band and touring setting.

I'm glad you liked the plot, as far-fetched as it was! And i'm honoured you turned down seeing a movie to stay home and read it! I'm also so glad you liked Markman. Often, original characters in fanfic aren't received as well as the other characters.

I did do a LOT of research into a lot of aspects of this story (eg. the mental illness, the geography, the location and timing of the journeys). But I did slack off in some aspects (like the whole president storyline. As a non-American, I have no idea about the American Governmental System and the different parties. But no one seemed to pull me up on anything so I didn't worry too much about it.)

1. I promise I will keep writing. I'm planning another fic to post soonish and although I don't know if it'll be as popular or even as good as this one, I hope people give it a chance. I've also got a lot of dreams about becoming a proper published author sometime in my life. When you say you may be able to help me get my foot in the door what did you mean by that exactly?

2. I can't reveal the 24 words because then it'll put you in danger from Them. Not a good idea. They could come for you then..

Thank you again for such a lovely comment xx
