[A green light and high-pitched ringing precedes a face coming into view, too close at first, and then pulling away to reveal ridiculous floppy hair and a blue bowtie. The journal is clearly propped up against something to record.]
OOOOH! [a loud, excited voice, not a hint of fear or uncertainty] Wonderful! Working again, eh! Good, good, excellent

[Jet clicks the video on with some degree of amusement. This newcomer sure is the type that stirs up attention; something Jet would be remiss to applaud]
"So The Doctor, huh? Never thought I'd meet anyone else with a name like that."
[Though after living with the Duke, Pipsqueak, Sneers ect. he supposes people from other world's are just as entitled.]
"As for your box? Can't say I have, but I'll ask around. How big we talkin?"

[Jet shrugs, how could he trust anything pertaining memory anymore?]
"Where I'm from, name is what you make of it. None of ours are what you would expect... unless you've ever heard of the Avatar?"
(Not that he can say he's ever seen anyone from his lands dressed like you.]
"About being a guy with one of those faces, though. Nice when that happens, isn't it?"

[Jet blinks back, a bit puzzled. What is this guy spouting? The Avatar is not just a being of Earth, he's master of every element. And- alien? It's not a word Jet's altogether familiar with; at least not to which context the Doctor is referring.]
“Taking that as a no. That's alright! Way I see it, we're all outcasts here. None of us actually belong to this place. The Malnosso think they can just drag us from our worlds and homes for their own amusement. Well, we'll show them.”
[A thoughtful pause]
“Think you're gonna make it just fine around here, 'the Doctor.' Call me Jet. Haven't been here long myself, but if you need something, just ask.”

Got a good heart, have you, Jet? That's good, that'll get you far, long as you keep it in the right place. You take care it does. How long has it been since you were home?

“Been only a month or so for me. For my comrade's though... over a year.”
[The problem isn't how much time he loses here, it's how to get back what's already run out back there. It's knowing even if he gets everyone else back, he...]
“It doesn't matter. I'd be willing to fight just as hard, even if it had only been a day.”

[He shall cross his arms and raise a brow at you, sir. In truth Jet hasn't heard of enough differences between other worlds to distinguish what makes his own unique, but for this guy he'll attempt a synopsis.]
"alright I'll bite, My world is comprised of four different nations, The Air nomads, the Water tribes, the Earth Kingdom, that's where I come from, and... the Fire Nation. It's been said, back in the day, that the countries lived together in peace, thanks to the Avatar. When he went missing though, the Fire Nation took their chance to conquer and force the world under their rule. With the Air nomads gone now and Water tribes dropped down a few pegs; we're the last defense there is."
[The guy would probably have heard it all from Katara or Sokka anyway]
"I've never been outside my own country, but I hear the winters up north and south are bitter, and the air to the west smells like ash."

"Eh, you know, the usual. Warm summers, chiller falls, dense red leaved forests, lots of rocky terrain. We have the biggest landmass out of all the nations, so although I've done a lot of traveling, I've barely seen a quarter of it."
[And he'll never get to see more of it, since- arrgghhh he has to stop thinking like this. Jet raises his head to make eye contact again, if only to stop his current train of thought.]
"There's a few big cities, but most are structured a lot like this. I didn't have much chance to know them before I wound up here. Seem any different for you?"

OH! Traveler, are you? I like traveling, good fun. But your place, sounds fantastic. Kingdom, bet that means you have a king then, eh? What's he like. Okay fellow?

"Never met the guy; but the people who were working for him weren't the good kind. Something fishy was going on with the Dai Li- the maintainers of peace in the Earth Kingdom- if he was anything like them, it's no wonder we haven't won the war."
[It's still a shock to consider. His own country, his own people brainwashing and using each other. Where was the pride? Where the strength his country was known for? It's enough to make him sick.]
"But I'm not with my country's army. I'll fight for whatever needs fighting for. No matter what.”
[..And that's enough soul baring for the moment]
“Been good talking with ya, Doc. Call on me anytime.”
