Giant Movie Theaters + Person on Cell phone + Lotr's = alot of mad geeks

I went to see Lord Of The Rings today. I've been looking forward to it for some time now.
At the begining of the show you get a thing before the movie saying "silence is golden" and asking for everyone to turn off pagers and cell phones.
The movie starts and it's going great, amazing everything, the costumes, the sets, the amazing New Zealand scenery.
BEEP BEEP RING RING BEEP RING.
Someone's freak cell phone ring goes off. They were just a few seats down, the man finds it quickly and turns it off.
The movie continues.
Everything's great. A few spectacular battles take place, then it gets to the middle, like the eye of the storm, between battles leading up the the climax where there are multiple battles.
RING RING BEEP BEEP RING.
The guy directly infront of my lets his phone ring for a bit.
Finally answers it. But instead of turning the phone off, or taking his conversation outside. He decides to have a fairly loudly conversation. Not only was it loud, but it was at an important part of the movie, i missed what was said and of course didn't understand why something happened. He also spoke loudly through multiple quite moments. He lasted at least 5 minutes. He finally said his good buys and the movie went on.
I was waiting for the end of the movie now so i could politely point out that what he did was extreemly rude and he could have done us all a favour, especially at this time of the year, and either taken it outside or turned off the phone. Not talk loudly during a movie and distracting many of the at least hundred people in the theater.
But unfortunatly the instant the credits started to roll he was out the door. Good thing too because i have a feeling others wouldn't have been kind.
