Haven't posted in awhile like I usually do. Just been chillin in the SLC right now listening to music and celebrating in the fact that I just finished a rough draft to a paper. Horray! Lately really been getting into purevolume.com.... there's just alot of good artists and it's free and it's alot better than carrying loads of cds around... no joke it's awesome. NEED TO WRITE ABOUT LAST WEEKEND
Well it first started with Dawgs after Dark. It's like this thing this organization puts on friday nights before football games. They basically use all this money and buy all these fun things to let us crazy college students... well go crazy with. This Friday they had "World Culture night or something" the only world culture stuff they had were crazy plantoon bannanas and pineapple. Other fun stuff that I participated in included the mechanical bull, casino night were you can win raffle prizes, and free chinese food. Also they had a sky diving simulater that bows air up and keeps you suspended for about forever... didn't get a chance to hit that up... too many people. They also had little rice keychains and old time photos. Made a good night.... also got to see Napolean Dynamite before that so it's hard to have a bad night after seeing that movie.... it makes my heart melt everytime I watch it. "Don't forget the crystals"
LSU game... my goodnass. Let's just say we basically handed them their buttox on a silver platter. The crowd seriously was screaming even before the game started. Everyone was just so pumped and then when we actually started scoring and everything it was just priceless. 45- 14... booya. From there I went to the Format concert with Brooke, Kellie, and Whitney... let's just say best concert of my life so far. They are basically this no name band from Arizona.... hard to explain what they sound like except like a happy rock band kinda feel. I think Bren was the dude that found them for us... god bless him. The concert was at the Masqeurade, which was an experience within itself... very dark, scary, and smelly... perfect place for the concert. I thought it was going to be this big venue with billions of people there but instead there was maybe only 70-90 people there which put us right in front of the band. From there it was a night of dancing, hand grabbing motions, singing, screaming, and Laughter. I also really liked what the lead singer said when he came out... he screamed "I Love Jesus Christ." Though they didn't talk about their faith or anything it still was cool just knowing that this upcoming rock band was able to be bold with their faith. They are opening up for Switchfoot in November.
"You know the night life is just not for me
cause all you really need are a
Few good friends"
After getting t-shirts and all that mess we went to GSU to meet up with all my old Tech and GSU friends. We first walked out to HardRock and were able to get some fake fighting, good talks, funny jokes, and awesome dancing. After that we made it back to da "vIlLaGe"... played some charades, listen to some dynamite music and just chilled. Then we had to leave early that morning to get back for rowing team. It was awesome getting to see everyone again, because even though most of my good guy friends are up and I don't see them alot. I know that we'll always be friends and never ever be scared to act stupid in public.
