fegkuregtiwetr that cat.

AND CONGRATS. OMG YOUR ICONS WERE SO PRETTY ALL ROUND AND SAKLKJDKAJD ♥

Set Placement:
1st place (+3pts) SET C - This set is amazing. Everything fits well together, every step thought out; crop, color, typography. The selective color works very well too, because it goes with the text. Nicely thought out, and looking aesthetically beautiful in the end.
1st place (+3pts) SET C - I like that it looks like a 'set' of three and they each share a theme, but are different enough to stand on their own.
1st place (+3pts) SET C - I wanna have bbs with this set from how amazing it is. The text usage is phenomenal, as is the texture usage. The select coloring on it is a great idea as well which works amazingly. It's an incredibly creative & cohesive set that's just amazing. TEE HEE ICU.
1st place (+3pts) SET C - First of all, I love the croppings in this set, and I love the compositions in all three icons.
1st place (+3pts) SET C - This set is absolutely mindblowing, I didn't have to think long about first place. The icons seperately are amazing - coloring, typography, contrast, burshes, everything is perfect, and the way their style is kind of similar is a nice bonus. I could rant about it longer, but these are just pure beautiful and inspirational pieces of icon art.
1st place (+3pts) SET C - Beautiful set! Great use of contrast and selective coloring, the icons are neat and cool. The composition is creative and harmonious. A+ :D
1st place (+3pts) SET c - honestly, the only crit i can find here is that yamamoto looks a little bit on the sharp side, esp around the whiter bits. other than that, amazing. use of textures is well-balanced and not overtaking the subject, which can be so hard to do. awesome.
2nd place (+2pts) SET C - The selective coloring is fantastic, and while it may take some searching, I can see how each theme was used.

Additional Crit:
SET C a - Holy crap this set is amazing! I love how you managed to make the single color theme work. Your texture usage and typography is stunning, too.

Favorites:
SET C #01 f - Love the center crop, typography, selective color, I guess pretty much everything. Nicely done.
SET C #01 f - The blue pops out so well. Love the texture usage & sjdbfjkd I just love this set sfm.
SET C #01 f - Love the spot color in this icon, I like the overall design of this icon. Also the color blue is what attracts me the most!
SET C #01 f - I've said it in the set critiques what I like about these icons, but this one stands out even among the wonderful set. The crop is great, the typography works wonders (colors, size, position and the Japenese (?) addition). The brush also fits the rain theme even.
SET c #01 f - crit (optional)

Favorites:
SET C #02 f - The yellow orange just catches your eye in so many ways, the text placement works fabulously & it looks incredibly clean.
SET C #02 f - I love how the flames are in contrast with the rest of the icon. The cropping is effective and the typography is good as well, it doesn't distract from the main focus.
SET c #02 f - completely flawless. i love the coloring. again, the texture use is perfectly balanced, and the crop accentuates tsuna's flames and eyes in a really stunning way.

Favorites:
SET C #03 f - The image chosen is very catching and the lighting really comes out with that bit of red and glow.
SET C #03 f - I really love the slightly fading tiny text here, and the fire red brush in the background, the whole icon stands out well.
SET C #03 f - Awesome selective coloring, and the texture from challenge 9 adds a nice touch to it.
SET c #03 f - crit (optional)

Isn't it! Most adorable :O face ever.

THAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUU! It was lots of fun competing here, I loved your themes, even whey I had no idea what to do with them. Though those provided textures were evil. As was kinda-sorta the last theme. And lol, thanks but naw, I def had my dry spells of OMG WTF TO DOOOO?? /THROW AN ICON TOGETHER AT THE LAST MINUTE <-WHICH HAPPENED ALL THE TIME DIDN'T IT SOB

It is! It's like CHII in real life.

Thank you! That means a lot as this was seriously the first time I've run an icontest, let alone a LIMS. (Though I've participated in a few). So I was always so nervous that people wouldn't like the themes and dksaljak I know the last two challenges were evil, but it was the cream of the crop! I had to be a little evil! XD And yeah, you were pretty consistently last to submit.

Omg. Can't unsee. Not that I'd want to. XD

Whoa really? Nice job for your first time! LIMS are harder too since you have to judge if the critiques are unbiased, based on aesthetic quality, etc. and b/c you have to get people their comments in a timely manner ON TOP OF already having to post voting, submission, and all that stuff. Can't believe you would take on a LIMS for your first icontest, haha! Understandable, but NO LESS EVIL. Nah, it was challenging, which was the point. d^^b And yeah, that...will never change. orz

God, I love Chii so much. ;-;

Yeah. Thanks. fddskjlf I mostly wanted to participate in something like shoujo_battle but with shounen series and then I saw this comm was in need of a new mod and decided that rather than be selfish and hope someone else wanted to run it so I could participate, that I'd just run it so that others could. XD

A lot of it worked out fine because I'm a little OCD, so I had like over 9000 different text files with all the info so I could quickly and easily get each post up and respond to comments, etc. I'd much rather people wait to the last minute than not submit at all.
