Is there anyone on the upper level who could help Misao? I'd go and check up on her myself, except that I've been punished to remain in the lower level until sometime early next week...

I think I've made some progress with Rikku--we were (more or less) arguing on Jenova's journal, though. Unfortunately, it was public, but it was all in Al Bhed. If you'd like me to translate it, I wouldn't mind. However, what I've done is tell her that I'm going to try and reach her by using Jenova, which I understand is risky, but my methods have always been somewhat unorthodox.
However, we could use it as a bluff and take advantage of it, but only if we do know someone who has direct access to Jenova. Yachiru, does the doctor Lucrecia have access to Jenova, and if so, could we inform her that we want to use Jenova as a rouse to get Rikku back? If it's necessary, I'll even go to ShinRa myself.
Speaking of ShinRa anyway, why are they housing such a being without warning the general public of the potential problems it may cause? Even if they didn't want to cause mass panic of sorts, most of the people who are in Purgatorium are considered sinners--a number of the inhabitants are potentially dangerous, especially when infected by a being that can puppet people and cause mental instability. And by keeping the current situation under wraps, isn't that obstructing justice when the people in the city have a right to know that something so dangerous is posing this kind of a threat?
