Making up for lost time. X__X

Jul 26, 2008 19:40

...hn, I'd have never guessed so much time had passed. You'd think a guy could just lose his journal, grab another one from the journal makers and head back home--but no, it didn't work that way ( Read more... )

es: shouldn't have done that..., es: wtf!?!?!?

Good to hear from you, guy. A lot of people have been asking after you lately.

Hey there--did you miss me? Maa, I guess it isn't so bad to be popular. Having missed more than two weeks, I'll take that I've missed a lot of things?

If I tell you yes, does that mean you'll go away again?

The Wilderness has changed a couple times, gravity decided not to work, new people keep arriving--stuff like that. Business as usual for this place.

If I say no, I'd imagine that this place will try to take me away and hide me somewhere again.

Hn, that doesn't sound too bad--the gravity thing is pretty interesting. And these suit things just ground people all over again, eh? Can't hurt to try, I suppose...

Well, we can't have that. People got worked up enough the first time.

Before, people didn't seem to have a choice about the suits--they just appeared or disappeared on their own. Personally, I'd rather float than be confined in one of those things, but others seem to prefer them.

I'm better off leaving the question unanswered since I can't promise anything, then.

Ah, freedom of floating is quite the advantage. Do you think there are any advantages to the suit aside from gravity?

Then I'll leave your question unanswered too. Just out of spite.

Aside from being protected from floating people and objects, not really. But you can learn to maneuver like this--in fact, there are a few people who have said that this feels familiar to them.

I'd hope the spite isn't directed toward me.

Hn, so there are some whose 'home' environments lack gravity. That's rather interesting. In my case, it's not familiar at all. I'll have to get used to this--when I was trapped on the fourth floor, I wasn't affected by the anti-gravity that I suddenly encountered once I got back on the elevator.

Spite towards the universe. At not getting my question answered.

Well, let me know if you need any pointers. I got a lesson earlier from someone who apparently used to live like this.

Fair enough.

I'll see what I could do on my own. And I think I'm going to try out the suit, too, just to see if gravity does return. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'm sure you'll pick it up. Opinions on the suit have been mixed from what I've seen; I know Crow prefers it, but Venus couldn't stand hers.

Did Venus just decide that by looking at it? I could understand that, given that she sells clothes...

[ooc: I don't think he's aware that Bastet sells clothes, too. ^^ Rather, I don't remember if he is anymore as it's been too long since I've had him on the journals.]

No--she was stuck in one for a couple days. She refused to come in to work as long as she had it on. But it wasn't so busy I couldn't handle things.

I guess that's something else you might have missed--we work together now.

Hn, anyone who's stuck anywhere would learn to appreciate being freed, so I could totally understand that. I could imagine whatever complaints she might've been having about it, too.

Oh? All the more reason that I should visit more frequently. I'd think that place is bustling with customers now that both of you are on the job.

Exactly. They're clearly not built for women.

Yeah, you should stop by. It is pretty busy, especially since the boss started telling people we'd model some of the clothes.

(ooc: Whenever someone shows up asking about it, Venus and Bastet tell them they've just missed it. But really, they have yet to model a single stitch of clothing.)

Sure, I don't mind. It's been a while since I've met up with either of you two anyway.

[ooc: LOL! Granted, Sight had been visiting Venus before and had become good friends with her since finding out they were in each other's dreams--this is because both of us pulled our characters from Purgatorium, though. ^^ So even if he doesn't get to see them modeling the goods, at least he's meeting up with ladies w/ jugs???

This reminds me--does he still owe Bastet a spar? I remember that a lot of things spun out and went crazy, so I've forgotten at this point. O__O]
