  1. Use high contrast negative.
  2. Print using filter 4 or 5.
  3. Expose a test strip in the enlarger.
  4. Develop in SOLAROL for 90 seconds.
  5. Stop and Fix as usual.
  6. Determine printing time needed to achieve deep black tone in your shadow.
  7. Expose full sheet of paper at 1/3 less time than in step 6.
  8. After 30 seconds in developer, turn light on for 1 second!
  9. Leave in developer for another 60 seconds.
  10. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO PULL OUT SOONER.
  11. Stop, Fix and Wash as usual.
