Last little bit of procrastination…
Wow. Already 2nd last night of term! Where has time gone? I admit, the year is barrelling by and it’s the best I can do to grab on tight and get dragged along.
Had a ling test today and I think I may have passed this one! I got 41% for the last one but I admittedly deserve it. I actually deserve to fail this one too considering how little I studied…both tests are just at bad, bad times. But that’s no excuse, so I will take what marks I get on the chin. Hinis pride demands no less.
I am still incensed at the god-forsaken You magazine for slandering my father, and thusly my family, with their flippant remark that “He [Nico] named his younger daughter after his favourite cider”. It INFURIATES me because they make him look like an alcoholic and anyone who knows Nico that he could care less for that revolting substance. So I’m going to write a rather snitty letter to the You editor and tell them exactly what I think of their article and their journalism. And they spelt my siblings’ names wrong.
And yes, I am aware that I’ve already brought this up in a previous post, but it still gets up my nose. Its like when there was a rumour that I was bulimic once going around. It pissed me off to no end. Like John Proctor says in The Crucible; “Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life!” You magazine has shat on my family’s name. They think a woman hath fury? They have yet to encounter a Hinis with a vendetta, especially one more stubborn than a horde of bulls. *paws the ground and tosses horns*
Anyway. The exam timetable came out today. I am not impressed. I start writing on the 8th and finish on the damned 30th of November. It is beyond mortal tolerance! Why can’t I just write it all in two weeks and be done with it?! I’m missing some deserved family time here because of godsdamned philosophy! I have these uber long breaks that I’d rather swap so I can have an extra two weeks at home. However, I do want to meet Magisha-sensei, an aikido grand master who is coming all the way to Grahamstown in the first week of December. Bhavna said I can crash at her place over that week, so I might just take her up on her offer.
Neko anime was great tonight; I chose the AMVs and we showed Broken Saints, which was awesome. One of those ‘shatter your concepts’ shows. Great stuff.
So, I have to pack up my room and do my politics tut tonight. I might just bunk philosophy and politics tomorrow so that I can finish up some packing. I want to go to Battle of the Bands tomorrow night so that means packing up tonight. Crud. I hate packing up.
Ah! Happy birthday to Keely and Mantsane! Rock on, live hard, and you are both incredible, brilliant people. Wish you both many, many more years!
Well, enough procrastination. I must work and pack now. Bad, bad Admiral for digressing so much.
Back to the 3am thing again…sigh…
Fwoosh!
