2nd Place for Category One - Scenic View
The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Saint Petersburg - Russia, June 2nd 2007.
- A Russian Orthodox Church located on the Griboedov Canal in St. Petersburg, Russia. It received its memorable title in commemoration of Tsar Alexander II who was assassinated and died in the spot where the church was then erected. This photo was taken during a study trip to Russia through the Jagiellonian University International Polish Studies Department.

Ukrainian Street Performer, Krakow - Poland, June 24th 2007.
- A Ukrainian Street Performer playing the bandura in Krakow’s Rynek Główny (city center). Krakow’s market square is the largest in Europe and dates to the 13th century. I passed through the center almost every day, where he frequently played his music, on my way to classes .
