Squamata is where its at!
Ok so.. its bloody hot, and I am putting off writing more on this anuran communication paper, so here's a LJ post!
Not much going on right now, got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out a couple weeks ago, and went fine, other than having to fight with the dentist about not getting the IV sedation... that was honestly the only thing that was scaring me. Finally, he agreed, and I got all 4 pulled in 10 minutes under local anaesthetic. Piece of cake, and I got to walk out of the office all on my own too!
Since I got back from the field camp (which ROCKED), I've been working on this paper on and off, and its due tomorrow at midnight, which is fine, because I'm almost completely done it (maybe another 1/2 hour of solid work). I'm no procrastinator!
I've also been playing a lot of WoW since I got back, made a few new characters, gave a roommate my 10 day trial key (which is up today, I wish he'd keep playing!), and just having fun in general. Its not like there is THAT much else to do here right now anyways.
Marc is moving up here June 22nd, and we're hoping he'll be able to find a job here so he can stay. Had a bit of a rough time at first, because he kept putting things off, and despite being a bit disappointed, we've talked things over, and we're hoping for the best now. He does know that if he doesn't manage to find a job by the time his cash runs out, he won't be able to stay here.
So my birthday is coming up on the 29th, and I'm not really expecting gifts or anything, but there is something I really want..
I goddamn want to go to the Toronto Zoo! *cries* Its been so long since I've been, and I miss it so much.. I just want to spend a few days in Toronto, go to the zoo, check out the new dino exhibit at the ROM, maybe do some shopping (Pacific Mall HELLO!)... just get away from this shitty French-filled zoo-less city in general. I swear to god, I'm never living in a city without a zoo again.
So please, someone take me to the Toronto zoo.. please? :(
