well, today i had a long sleep-in, well, till 9:45. may i mention it was the first sleep-in of mine since, brace yourself, New Year's Day. i had a party at matt's house and it was fun. me, andrew, and matt stayed around and played Risk and I WON!!! lol it was a huge accomplishment, if you'd ever played matt you'd know. besides that i will be around today at home, packing for tomorrow's trip to the cape for the week.
this cape trip means a lot to me. its the only time of the year i get to see my real family. these are the people i am naturally kin to. it sounds dumb, but whenever my mom sees my uncle and he niece and nephews she gets so emotional because she had to search for them so long. i can't imagine what its like not knowing your family. your family, as in what you center your life around. so yeah, the trip is gunna be awesome and i can't wait.
besides all that, i want to say that i do not like summer at all, and i will tell you why. first, the heat (i have the warmest body temp ever), second, no school (sounds geeky, but i love an organized and scheduled day to live by), third, i see my friends maybe HALF as much. things i will miss from my everyday school day: (off my head)talking to liz in drama, saying hi in the hallway to people, seeing courtney every morning and procrastinating. random stuff i am going to miss a lot. after spring track ends, for the last two years atleast, i tend to get a sense of detachment from everything. my life goes from like sports, studies, school, friends to just friends. not to mention everyone graduating...
so i don't really know what the summer holds for me, but i can only hope for the best. some goals for the summer:
1. get a job
2. read atleast 3 books
3. get in shape
4. visit florida
5. road trip with chris
6. visit all my colleges
7. buy a new computer
8. learn football
9. make friends (and peace) with my new team
10. read the entire bible
