and it was gorgeous, and sooo sunny.
it was a 45 minute-ish drive, and i went to my friends work at a greek place in the mall, while my mom was going with his father to pick up his aunt at the airport.
i didnt stick around his place for too long, but he kept offering me greek food, and it got really hot in there, so i left around the mall. tiny place (like white rock) and only 70 stores. i went to blackbonds, and got a book called 'the lovely bones' and its like 365 pages, but i got through the first 90 yesterday. it is so amazing..let me tell you that, i recommend it to everyone and anyone...i knew i'd love it right when i was reading the first couple lines, and i'm never like that with books. and i'd only heard about it once on fobr, and it isnt really hyped up or anything. definitely underrated is my guess (from what i know). check it out.
after i got the book, i read for an hour, and then i played in this kids spot, and sat on this car you put a dollar in, and sat beside garfield. i was much too big for it, but it was almost closing at the mall, and no kids were there. i had a dollar, but the maximum capacity was 90lbs :|
i saw a little girl on the mini merry go round, just running around it, and i offered her a dollar so she could actually ride on it, but she said it was okay and was just playing around. she was like 6 or something. i remember being a kid, and my mom never had a dollar or 2 to put on. only bills, and the change machines always seemed to be out of order. either that, or we never had time to go on. i shouldve left the dollar on top of the machine *sigh*
well me and my friend walked around white rock and random grocery stores i dunno why, and went to his house. his parents and my mother were there with their visitors. me and him went in his yard and played badminton for like 2 hours, and then the sun was setting outside, so we went bike riding (he has like 4 bikes)
we went down this huge hill, and it nearly took forever to get back up. we were out for an hour, and then there was an empty parking lot (HUGE) for a mall, and we rode around for a while. it was soooo free and huge. i loved it.
i didnt bring my camera, but this is white rock. you can literally see america from there. the border cross is like 10 minutes from white rock, and from the beach, you clearly see american land. actually, if there was no water, i bet it would take you only like 5 minutes to run to the other side. apparently people have tried swimming across, but they got caught.
