CHARACTER NAME: Pope Alessandro XVIII
FANDOM: Trinity Blood (novels)
CANON: End of Rage Against the Moons 3. (2-3 years before the events of Reborn on Mars, which is also the manga's timeline.)
WHAT THEY LOST: All memories of Vaclav, including his death.

PERSONALITY:
Alessandro is very shy; in fact he is painfully shy. He is so painfully shy he faints when needing to interact with large crowds. He gets physically ill and shakes and stutters when he has to do any sort of public demonstration. But, though strangers scare him, he can be very personable with people he has gotten to know. When people don't ignore him he does like to talk. In fact, he can get excitable and start babbling on and on to the point where he might be hard to understand.

On top of being shy, he is easy to manipulate and force into a situation, though, if something truly bothers him he will speak up against it. Though he might be hesitant, and it may take a lot, he will speak his mind, and if it is important enough to him, he can even do it without stuttering.

Alessandro is a kind person; he can show compassion for many things, including things that scare him. He will not let preconceptions keep him down, if there is a reason something he knows might be wrong, he will question it, and see for himself what the truth may be.

He comes across as dimwitted and not very smart, mostly because of his stuttering and shy demeanor, his expression is usually one that looks confused. But, though he might request something explained simply, he is not stupid at all; he can be quite intuitive and can reach proper conclusions quickly when given the chance. He simply lacks self esteem and assumes himself to be stupid and useless, thus causing most of his own problems in that respect.

THIRD-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE:
Alessandro awoke to a strange and unfamiliar room, though not unpleasant. The bed he was in was soft and comfortable, he was almost inclined to roll over and go back to sleep, obviously he was just having a strange dream. Though, as he turned he could not help but shake the feeling that this was very much real.

After several minutes he finally gave in and slowly sat up. Wide blue grey eyes scanned the foreign room around him. It was large, and rather lavish, it could have easily been one of the bedrooms in the Papal Mansion. But, this was very clearly not his room. But, if he thought about it, he hadn't been home in days anyway, and being in this room didn't make any sense. He had been held prisoner by his uncle and put in an isolation cell. His uncle had been trying to make a new Church. But, when he tried to think of the most recent details of that situation they were hard to remember. He recalled the fight that had broken out during his Uncles coronation and fainting. The rest was confusing and he wasn't sure if it had really happened. Maybe he was rescued? Maybe this was just one of the rooms in the mansion and he was resting before going back to Rome?

But, if that were true, someone would be with him, wouldn't they? People were always with him, if not a nun or priest then it was usually his sister Caterina. Why was he alone?

He bit his lip and pulled the blankets up to his chin, as if such an action would somehow change the situation. He started to shake, afraid of leaving the bed and seeing what might be on the other side of the door. But... he could be wrong; someone could have been here and just left.

After long consideration he slowly stepped from the bed. He made his way to the door and opened it slightly to look into the hall. What he saw was finery that could rival his own residence. Few places could afford to be so luxurious outside of Rome, and he was quite sure this was nowhere he had seen before.

He slowly closed the door and took several steps back. He was alone, in a strange and foreign place. He bit his lip again and raised his hands to his chest, clutching at his shirt. He looked as if he might faint.

FIRST-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE:

Th-this isn't Rome... it i-isn't Brno e-either.... Where am I? N-no one is here... n-not even Uncle. I don't u-understand, am I a p-prisoner? D-did something happen during Uncles c-coronation?

Th-this couldn't be the E-empire could it!?
