I'm a little late on writing, but Kawroup wasn't much to mention. I went to the burial site and left behind a gift, then came home. It was a little too quiet the day after to stay around for long.
But I did get home and ask about that 'cravat' thing I've heard about a few times. It seems it's really not a napkin - but a decorative necktie with these strange ruffles that come under your chin. Though I thought the napkin idea made sense! Father showed me one of his older ones and allowed me to try it on. It was much too big, and I'm a little disappointed - I wanted to wear it to the annual ball this year. I think I'll be stuck with my older coat, so I'll need to take it to get cleaned.
If all goes according to plan, I hope I'll be able to drag Miss Ada with me! I think she would enjoy going to the ball, and I'd be too nervous to go alone. All of those officers, and I'm just a silly messenger!
cravats,
to the ball!,
