Yes.Oh. My. God.
I don't think there have been a couple of episodes quite like these in the history of heterosexual tv characters for some time now. I know season 6 has been slashy. And I thank God for it, because the whole stupid Huddy drama that was trying to take over was just going to make me stop watching the show. I know Wilson and House are soul mates in more ways than one.
The "Wilson" episode was cute, touching, very entertaining and yet another proof that there IS slash and it's not a collective imagination of yaoi madness.
And of course, "Wilson" gives us the slashiest musical moment up till then, when our favorite oncologist wakes up to House singing acapella version of George Michael's Faith. I mean, can I die now? Just look at this lovely video from

There are too many memorable things about "Wilson"... Aside from Wilson being there in every scene, which is always a plus for me. We see a better House, not that bundle of drama who was on the verge of tears, depression and childish schemes whenever Cuddy and Lucas were around. He is back where he belongs, hiding from Cuddy and finding Wilson. We confirm Cuddy is the real "self important jerk", trying to get House know that she and Lucas are living together by telling Wilson, a lame move, really. Get on with your life and leave the man alone, I kept saying. Good thing Wilson verbally bitchslapped her.
Wilson is upset. He kept sacrificing his own feelings by telling House to pursue Cuddy, and then she comes and moves in with the shorty P.I *whom I love cause finally I can get rid of Huddy scenes in my Hilson world* and now he is in for blood. House is still in bad shape, and even as Wilson cannot channel his frustration well, he shows his worth doing what he does best! being the boyscout who saves the day and getting back at Cuddy by outbidding her on the loft that he now shares with House. TAKE THAT HO~!
About the Down Low.....
It was what is called in anime "Fan Service", cause it doesn't contain a particular plot twist, yet it was carefully design to make people squee and laugh like insane critters ^_^
Ever since the
"Global Promo" was placed in youtube (here I gotta thank
quenotedariayo for posting the link on Twitter. I totally love her posts, and her journal is a lovely Hilson shrine, too cute) I was at a loss for words. The first 10 seconds after I saw it I almost faint, couldn't breathe at all... then it was all about that for so much time I kept grinning and dancing on the 10th cloud of H/W heaven. It really doesn't get any more canon than that, really.
Twitter went insane,
#housewilson posts flooded my screen and I had to tweet back my desperate need to watch it. As I downloaded it, I kept checking twitter and see people who were already watching it just collapse in a flood of fangirl epicness that made me laugh so much! I thought of
bery26, demented and chronically obsessive Wilson fan, since she was away at the beach and was missing all they hype and insanity of this. Hopefully she is now watching the episode and will grant us one of her detailed and amusingly wacky Wilson-filled posts.
The episode itself began as they regularly do. A medical drama. This one was unusually normal, or at least we thought it was. If we only look at it, it ended up really sad, and the friendship between the cop and the drug dealer was really touching, I liked that a lot. Fate cannot be stopped just because you're good if your bad decisions lead your life. By the way, all through the episode I felt like they had such a connection, Eddie's eyes and his need to help Mickey, they way he risked his life for him and did whatever ws necessary to make him halthey again, that is not your usual thug behavior. I felt something really deep there.
Now, into the good things, Wilson looked really nice once again, this time hitting on the nice neighbor who thought he was gay and had his "boyfriend... husband... partner", well "that good-looking guy with the cane"... this lady Nora from the start was a total slash fan, she took the fact that the boys were gay too good for the regular "I don't judge you, your sexual preference is your own business" way most people face gay people with. You can see her doing her best as a friendly neighbor, a nice person and someone who would never mess with a man who's taken. By Wilson. ♥
Yeah yeah, the
house_wilson community has a lot of mixed feelings about the clichés of gay guys that Wilson unavoidably owned and that House tried to show just so that Nora got it all wrong, but I found it so funny, and Im sure the writers did not mean to do anything wrong except making us lol repeatedly. Now, who's gonna believe House was hitting on Nora to sleep with her? Nah, he was doing it just to mess with Wilson's head and with his chances to get laid. With a woman. Well, anyone else but him.
There were SO MANY memorable quotes, my favorites were:
Wilson: "Everyone in our building thinks we're gay."
Wilson: "We're grown men over the age of 30 who moved in together. We're two tigers away from an act in in Vegas.
Wilson: "I love this man! And I am not wasting another moment of my life denying that"
House: O.O....♥
Wilson on his KNEES: Gregory House... Will you marry me?
So I can say that I was not expecting a kiss, House becoming a flaming queen or anything else! Come on! I was secretly hoping that House played along for a little while so that Wilson blushed or stuttered, a bit more slash play, but hell, we have to count our blessings! How many other slash pairings like Sam/Dean & Castiel/Dean (Supernatural), Kirk/Spock & Kirk/Bones & Spock/Bones (Star Trek), Duncan/Methos (Highlander), Apollo/Starbuck (old time Battlestar Gallactica), Hercules/Iolaus (Hercules the Legendary Journeys), Holmes/Watson (Sherlock Holmes), JD/Turk & JD/Dr Cox (Scrubs), Clark/Lex & Clark/Oliver (Smallville), Jack O'Neil/Daniel Jackson (Stargate), Allan Grant/Billy Brennan (Jurassic Park 3), Christian/Sean (Nip/Tuck) Legolas/Aragorn (LoTR) and SOOO MANY OTHERS would KILL to have an episode like the one we got? Proposal? Singing? Together in the end, no women can break them or harm their mutual true feelings-type of ending? HA!
Finally I will send kudos to the team for the music.
Sway, sung by Dean Martin when Wilson is proposing, and
One, from the "Chorus Line" musical at the end, just making sure we know for sure Wilson is loud and proud! 2 more hits to join "Faith" in the awesome Hilson luuuuuv Soundtrack.
Oh, and never to be forgotten, the "Say Yes!!" lady in the back during the proposal has our love, cause that's what we were all screaming from home! :D
Oh, hell, I forgot! I made icons in the middle of my fangasm....Kinda not the quality of some I see, but hey, I love them.
I am in slash heaven and I'm not joking.
