In need of prompt comms

Mar 04, 2010 19:42

With the exception of oncoming_storms, all the prompts comms I'm now on are either dead or have scrapped activity checks. Their reason is that no one's writing prompts. Personally the reason I've not been writing prompts (apart from being ill) is that I'm not being forced to do so by activity checks. There are plenty I see and think about doing, but never quite ( Read more... )

TM always used to scare me, although I think that's because you could only answer the current prompt. Looking at the profile I'm not sure whether that's still true. When it says:

Members must respond to at least 1 in every 4 of the most current weekly ficlet writing challenges.

Does that mean you can answer one of the last 4 that were posted? I have a tendency to think about writing a prompt and by the time I get to finishing it and posting it, the next one's been posted.

I'm in TM with Lucas, and yes, you can answer any of the last four posted.

For instance, in the prompt they've just posted today, they add this reminder: Reminder: To remain current, you must have answered at least one of Topics 322, 323, 324 and 325 by March 11th.. The follow week, they'll drop off 322, and have the new one added in.

I'm in TM with Alex and Gwen, and I quite like it for the most part!

Only having the choice to answer the recent 4 can be really daunting, and I tend to fall behind a lot. But it does sort of force me to write something with the fear of getting booted, so that's good, I think!

Just having 4 to choose from is quite scary given that most comms have more than that per set. But I think that forcing me to write something for one of them might well be good for me!
