Bill Murray didn't win best actor:(
Damn Shawn Penn!
Billy Crystal (also one of my favorites) said something like "No Bill, Dont go. Stay. We still love you" after Penn got off the stage.
Oh well, he probably would have just left it in a taxi like in Scrooged.
Murray hates award shows but he attended the Academy Awards today because he was promised uninterrupted air time no matter what he said (none of that music playing). He got on stage to introduce Lost In Translation. Not like he would have needed it if you go by his Golden Globes speech (following).
He did win best actor at the Golden Globes , where he came on stage and deadpanned that no one would have to worry about along acceptance speech because he'd recently canned his agents and suffered the loss of his personal trainer.
But you know why bill is so funny???? BECAUSE IT WAS TRUE!!!! He had just fired all his agents and his personal trainer had died... Truth is funny.
