Economics:
It started when I took an intro Econ course @ Stanford during their Summer College thing. A few of you may remember when I was gone to Stanford for the summer. Anywho, I basically fell in love with the material. It completely reshaped my goals for the future. Up until then I was convinced I was going to major in Computer Science and just become a computer engineer. But FUCK THAT. Programming sucks, Econ FTW. Right now I'm working as a research assistant for one of the Econ prof's here, and next year I'll probably be helping her with another project that is likely to get published.
Gift of Gab
Gab is the lead MC of Blackalicious, and really I just love his word play and lyricism. He's definitely my favorite Quannum Project MC. Quannum being an indie hip-hop label out of.... Oakland? I think, not sure.
Skimboarding
I don't know how to explain it very well, it's like surfing, only on the shallow water where the waves break. I'm sure you can see people doing it around SC, it's those guys who throw a piece of wood/fiberglass and then run and jump on it, skimming across the breakwater. My friend introduced me and it's way fun.
