Wow, it's late...

Jul 04, 2005 00:34

It's a rarity that I've stayed up this late at home on a Sunday night...but then again, no work tomorrow (yay for Federal holidays!) so I'm spending some quality time with my computer.

Aaron is going to South Carolina with his roommate for two days. He needs to renew his license before his bday and Jim has an interview at a law firm. I really hope they drive safely, Aaron has the first leg and they're leaving late at night/early in the morning.

Work is good - I'm their secretary/receptionist/assisatant/lunch delivery girl...so pretty much I'm their bitch...:) but they are so courteous and appreciative and they tell me how glad they are to have me, so it's ok...

I hope my tutoring thing will work out- I've only met with the mother and son once, and worked with the son for about 30 minutes, but next week i have my basic skills test, and so i don't know when i'll have time to see them again.

Brit and Chris are home from camp, all tanned and sharing stories. Chris made a dreamcatcher and really likes Capture the Flag; Brit's favorite horse is Cody and she completely stood up on Zeb,arms in the air up like a "v" during the Horseshow because she participated in Vaulting Club - my parents are home for the week, but they go back to Traverse City after Brandon leaves for his camp on Tuesday.

It's been really nice having my house to myself - except that I have to remember when to take the garbage out the night before it gets picked up and I hate feeding Lucy four meals at once when I go to Lansing for two days. Other than that, I see my friends after work and go up to Lansing on Friday nights, so I can spend some time with my boyfriend before he leaves for Atlanta in early August for his externship.

Things are going really well for us - Jocelyn keeps telling me that once we get past the cutesy stage - the holding hands, cuddling in public, the regular PDA - then I'll understand the stuff with her and Noah, who have been dating for about two years, but I think despite our mere almost nine months together, we aren't going to get past the cutesy stage. I think we'll almost always hold hands in the car, on the street, etc. The biggest fight we've had recently lasted less than a day, where one of us recognized that feelings need to be shared if there is a problem, and not held back until that person picks a fight with the other (No, I will not share which one of us recognizes that trait of his/mine).

I don't think it will be so bad when he leaves for the semester. We already talk at least twice a day, and when one of us is out of town, we schedule a time to talk so that the one visiting has time to enjoy/do what they are out of town to enjoy/do. We will still talk on a regular, every day basis, my dad even asked me if I was saving $$ to go to visit, meaning he's already given me permission to do so, and so I hope to see him at least once every two months, at the least. That means I'll see him at least twice this coming semester. I won't like it, but I'll make the effort to visit him when I can.

OK, i'm making a habit of typing really long entries, but since I am out living my life instead of attatched to the computer every day, I can treat this like an actual diary. Who's really going to bother reading through this? :) to anyone who did, let me know so I can point and laugh.
