Two years later...
I haven't even looked into LiveJournal in at least the last year, let alone posted an entry. So much has happened since the last time I wrote that I couldn't put it all in and have it take less than an hour to read.
Long story short:
I am an intern with a fourth grade classroom and loving it. My teacher's amazing and I work with two other interns in my "team" that are also passionate about teaching. It's an awesome situation.
Along with the program come classes on campus at the "graduate certification" level. They are annoying and provide an intense look at designing units for our classes based on several theories and teaching pedagogies. It's a lot of work, to say the least...
I am currently living with two of my best friends and the situation could not be more up and down. When the three of us are together, we tend to have our tempers run short and we snap at each other. They lived together for two years before I joined in and I have always felt as though I were interrupting the established group dynamic. On the other hand, I do not want to see ourselves as a "package deal" when friends, activities, become all group things with not much room for individual desires. I love them both and I want us to like each other after we are no longer roommates...especially since they are my maids of honor.
Because I am engaged! Aaron proposed last October when I went to visit him in Atlanta around our fourth year anniversary. I have been planning our wedding ever since with help from our mothers, my sisters (sort of) and his family. I am slowly but surely securing all of our vendors and sending in deposits, but there is still a lot to do before the wedding in May. Three weeks after I finish my internship, I am getting married...crazy but I am elated.
I'm ready to be married, I'm ready to start my career, I'm ready to get out of Michigan and to really start making the rules that dictate how I live my life.
