Hey, y'all!!
Hello from the South!
It has been a long time since I've updated, but I finally have a few minutes so I thought I'd put in an entry for those who care. (Even for those who don't, I just like to update).
I've been in Athens, Georgia since the end of May, and since then I have secured employment with American Eagle Outfitters. I worked for them about three years ago in Traverse City for a summer and during my winter break and I decided it would be a good place to return to. It has...I think I might transfer up to East Lansing's store when I come back to school to work part-time because I like it so much. It's a hell of a lot better than what I did last summer at a law firm and no coworkers. This is fun and I'll be sad to leave.
Aaron and I are doing well - we haven't killed each other yet :) but we're actually getting along. He goes to the bar class every day, studies when he isn't in class, and is getting more stressed out as the exam date closes in, but he's been working really hard. I'm really impressed with the level of dedication he's been showing in effort to pass the bar. I'm so proud of him :)
On a separate note, it is freeeeaking hot here! I knew it would be hot, because it's summer, and it's the South, but seriously, when the upper 80s gives a girl a chance to "cool off", that's a little ridiculous. To keep cool, we keep the A/C going and we swim every now and then at the neighborhood pool. I didn't realize how much a pool was a necessity here until the second week.
Other than that, I've made a few friends at work, Aaron and I went to play Texas Hold 'Em with some of them last week, tomorrow is Independence Day and we're driving up to some town in North Carolina to meet my sister and brother-in-law because they're vacationing in Tennessee and NC's the half-way point. I try to keep in touch with my friends by phone, I'm sorry if I haven't talked with some of you but I can't if I don't have your numbers! My family is all spread out with the younger sibs at camp (Brit's at BR I love it). I have internet access in the business center at the apartment complex so I do check my email a couple times a week, so email me!
