So I just checked out some of my friend's videos on Myspace. It was of a rehearsal at Out on a Limb Dance Company, the one that split from my studio, Midwest Youth Dance Theatre, my senior year. The choreographer was Amber, my dance teacher for all the years at MYDT except my last (which was taught by a UWSP grad). She started teaching me when she was 18 years old, and she already had performed with the Pacific Northwest Ballet Company (a big deal). She was my teacher and inspiration for 8 years and shaped me into such a strong dancer. I lost ground my senior year, but then gained a lot freshman year at University of Minnesota, but as I'm sure you know I haven't been hugged by a leotard since I moved to Wisconsin.

As if everyday without dancing doesn't hurt me enough, seeing Amber teach and to know that I am not one of the instruments of this art kills me inside.
