Casey (Don't Stop) - This is kinda cheesy. And he's got that weird forced smile on again. I didn't love it, but there wasn't really anything terribly off about it. The guitar playing was good. Mat sez: "I think he's my favorite, because playing lead guitar and soloing while singing is really hard. He's probably the best musician, but that girl who plays guitar is close. You know, not that I CARE about this show or anything!"
Lee (The Boxer) - He's a little pitchy tonight. This arrangement/song doesn't really fit his voice. His voice is gruff, and the arrangement is so tender....it just doesn't sound right to me. Maybe I'm too used to hearing S&G sing it, but their voices are just so smooth, and it sounds better that way. I dunno dawg, for me for you for me, I didn't like it that much. OK, the judges like it. Thinking about it, he did have good emotional connection, but the sound just wasn't right. Mat agrees on all points.
HA HA HA - Captain Sully! I love that dude!
Tim (Better Days ) - Too low at the beginning. Oh...pitch is NO BUENO! OK, it got better toward the end, but not enough to make up for the ickiness at the start. He is really good-looking though. Mat sez: "It's too bad he sucked. He seems like a cool guy".
Aaron (I Believe I Can Fly) - Oh...goood.....lord. This is the CHEESIEST song EVER! The vocals are actually pretty good, though. Really good, actually. I think this may be the best he's sounded. Oh, he sang this when he was 5? So that was like....3 years ago? ZINGGG!
Siobhan (If You Believe) - What the crap is she wearing? Is she a mermaid? This was...she's just trying too hard.
Big Mike (Hero) - That was very karaoke. And that's the best I can explain it.
Crystal (People Get Ready) - A capella. That....was really good. She does look wicked hot. Awww...she's crying. Simon's right, on all accounts. That was the only performance tonight that was legitimately really good.
