Goodness..time sure can fly!
Today I received a phone call in the middle of class...not too unusual. Used to my phone going off in class, even though people know what I am doing at that time. Obviously can't answer..so why call? Anyways,phone rings again..hmm..voicemail is left..wonder who it could be. The professor is droning on and on about Taoism, so I decide to go out into the hallway and listen to my voicemail. It is my best friend, Heather and she has dilated!! Yay!! She is gonna have her baby! I am so happy for her and Mike, they will be fabulous parents!! I remember the day that Heather called me and told me she was pregnant...I was SHOCKED! Just the week before she was telling me how she didn't want to be with Mike any longer, things had fallen apart and now she was pregnant! I hated the fact that I was here in Michigan and she was there in North Carolina. A girl needs her best friend in times like these, but we had to suffice with just the telephone. That little baby is a blessing in disguise...he brought together two people in love that couldn't seem to work out their differences...now they are in engaged to be married!! That..I am really excited about! Of course I will be the Maid of Honor and we are going to have a glorious time planning. There are times when I become jealous and even envious of my two best friends...Tiff and Drew are married and living on their own, Heather and Mike are having a baby and getting married. I feel like I am falling behind...but then I remember, I don't need children or marriage to make me happy. Oh no, far from it..I can wait years for that part of my life. I just want to be successful, no matter what it is I do. Happiness is my goal...
