Babies have arrived!! Monet birthed her whole litter within an hour like a pro. I didnt have to help at all other than comforting her through the pain of her labor. Shes always been an excellent mother.
Its funny the dream I had the other night about the pups colors was very nearly true! I ended up with a little black and tan boy with white markings,
a gorgeous chocolate sable and tan boy that sydney is completely in love with,
a blue fawn spotted on white boy, hes so cute he has a little heart shaped spot on his butt,
and a solid pure white girl that Im likely going to keep, especially if she has blue eyes...
They are all so tiny! Each one weighed 3.5 oz at birth. Making them the smallest babies monet has ever had. Her previous babies were all between 4 and 6 oz at birth....Perfect litter! Indy did good, Ive never had chocolate or spotted babies! I cant wait to see them grow..
Im going to take them in for dewclaw removal on Monday..
Monet is such a good mother, she doesnt want to leave her pups for a second, not to eat so I feed her by hand... Not to drink, so I bring her water to her every half hour or so...not to go out..I have to physically pick her up and carry her out. She will go potty and littetally sprint back to her pups. Its really sweet how attentive she is.
