Oh geez I've been busy. I really dig this spell-checker function for Firefox 2.0 though, little did I know that all this time I've been spelling 'definitely' incorrectly, there is no a. I guess the problem is in my pronunciation.
Anyways! Work is swell, I finished writing a program to automatically run all of the canned queries from the database. Then I managed to write a batch file that runs the automated tester and outputs it to a log file and then emails that to Terry and I any time we update the data model. He's pretty much handed all of the programming off to me now because apparently I've completed my crash course in SQL, AJAX, XML, and C#. I feel pseudo-okay with it, at the very least he always answers my questions. I'm working right now on a page where users can update saved queries that they modeled before and either save them as new or update them in the database (I wrote a table to log saved queries and load the sql into its own column and the xml into another column along with a timestamp, unique id, creator, and an is_public bool). Also working on implementing this mirror with
Genome Browser so that they should be able to look at the actual chromosome locations for probes with a specific expression range.
Okay, enough tangential explanation of my job. I like it, it's cool.
Halloween was freaking awesome. Here's a picture: (I was a pirate and Joey was Zoolander, in case you can't figure it out :P)
Also, I finally scheduled my classes for next quarter:

Microbiology 680: Advanced Microbial Genetics
CS&E 360: Intro. to Computer Systems
CS&E 321: Case Studies in Component-Based Software
Dad's next surgery is 7 Dec. It's to remove the plates and screws from his arm along with a lot of scar tissue in order to see if he can get most of the mobility back. So at least maybe he'll be able to fish again someday. :) His ankle though, is getting really bad and the X-Rays show that the bones are fusing, so they said someday he'll need another bone graft and lots more surgery on his ankle. :/
So that's life for now. Thank goodness for Joey Kerstanoff. He's seriously the most wonderful person ever, in case you didn't already know that. :)
