The easiest way is to be married... but it has to be a "true marriage." The fact you are American makes it a lot easier to prove "true marriage." My friends with husbands from Mali, Turkey, even Mexico must wait many years sometimes to bring them here. It is very sad ( ... )

For reasons I do not understand, Dawson says international students cannot apply to nursing since they need an interview and portfolio. (portfolio? What on earth would be there?!) However, I am betting if you call and say you are currently at Concordia (and technically, you are) and wish to *transfer* they would deal with you. I find this bizarre on their parts... Anyway, John Abbott has no such restriction from what I can tell. Yes, it is in the west island. It is also right on the train line and will keep you from getting involved in that stupid shit hole waste of time known as Concordia. Here is some JAC info. Their program sounds much more interesting that Dawson's anyway. If I were starting over again 7 years ago, I would do this instead of waste 4 years at Concordia (bitter, yes).

I think I've decided against the nursing route in favor of something less useful.

Crap.

And actually Wendy, I do have some special talent that you aren't aware of. I'm an astronaut.

But seriously, thanks a bunch for your long advice.

Know anyone who wants to give me a job or marry me?

I still say you and Kenny NEED to get married. It would solve both your problems.

Why? Then we'd just both be American citizens.

++ I don't want to marry Kenny!!

nope, he gets your USian, you get his Canadian. See, it's all about the import export.
I wouldn't marry him either, no offence to the dear. I am just thinking pragmaticly. :-D

do they let you do that?

I should just be like "Hey Quebec, my great grandparents were from here. Let me back."

Think that will work?
