Rooney :The Avalon:
Allrighty, this update is done by request of livejournal user distraction haha
Soooo, Happy Turkey day to everyone, I know I’ve said it a billion times today already… hope that you guys are all stuffing your arteries with nice juicy fat from your turkey, and stuffing your face with patatas and gravy.. sooo
Last night..ROONEY
Ninas sis picked me up around 5:30 last night and we hit some bad bad bad traffic on the Santa monica fwy… So Ninas sis is driving, and she makes a left, and she gets onto the wrong street, as in the opposite way of traffic, so I’m thinking, “oh, I didn’t know the street was this wide” but then it turns out that the street use to be under construction or something, and she got use to using that lane on the other side..so luckily no cars were coming towards us, haha…soooooowe got to Ninas apartment around 7 I believe and I saw it, =) oooh, with the fireplace and luxurious balcony I might add..haha….dude, you know what, your bag was heavy as hell, I just didn’t wanna seem like a wimp…LOL… anywho
So we drive up to Hollywood and Vine, oooh, nice scene yo… lots of guys with Rooney hair..haha…
Sidenote: I just got a text from noel… thanks…*hears gunshots* LOL
So back to what I was saying, yes, Hollywood and Vine, so Dori, or is it Dory ? sorry, haha, Ninas sister parks, and you will not believe how much it was!! 15 dollars
I was going crazy on that, cause last year it was 8 bucks and I thought that was bad enough… so she did her “filipino” back parking..damn skills yo!! Haha, and we got to the door of The Avalon..
They didn’t check bags or do pat downs….which sucked ass cause I could have brought my camera .. people who were in front of the stage had their digital cameras taking pictures of who knows what “body parts”..lol… ahem
So the three of us stand near the stairs. They fixed up the Avalon pretty good from the last time we were there, they had like a podium type area and that’s where we stood… people in front of us were sitting, so we had a bomb ass view of the stage, sooo clear…
We came in right when The Tyde was playing..they were okay..not something I’d spend money on, but it was aight… then they finished their set. We were standing around and all of a sudden this girl was getting carried back near us and I swear she was about to faint. I saw her eyes and they were just rolling and man, security helped her to sit, and Dory got her water, we found out she was 10 years old, =X ..so she got carried to the back exit…
So then, The Sounds came on. They are friggin awesome I cant really compare them to anyone, but they had some good sounds. The leader was this girl who reminded me of the chick from Blondie, with a twist of Courtney Love.. pretty spiffy… I liked her outfit…and the keyboard guy *rawr*… haha, NINA!!... there was this guy from the Floor who just jumped on stage and started dancing, and for a second, me and nina thought it was Bobby Alt from Stun with the sexy black poofy hair..but it wasn’t….
They finished around 9…and we waited around for Rooney to get their music on..
It gets to be around 9:30 and Rodney from KROQ goes out and says his say, and then,..

I have to say, out of all the 9 times I’ve seen Rooney, this was the sexiest show I have ever seen….hands down
So they all come out … and then I look at Robert…He was wearing this black shirt with red polka dots on it..haha, it looked gay, but who gave a crap, he’s soooo friggn HOT!!
And so he throws his water bottle out to the floor like 5 feet away from where we were…then they started playing…. The weirdest part of the show was when Robert wasn’t playing guitar and he was just singing…I don’t like that… not at all….
So they played their whole album as usual, and they played 3 new songs that are going to be on their second album which is being worked on right now… the first new song they played kinda sucked… then they played, “I got the Juice” ..really good.., shoot, give me some of that juice!! LOL…. Then they played “Paralyzed”… pretty good… nice beat to it…they also played the Ramones cover, “Here today, Gone Tomorrow” they sounded awesome…they of course ended with the new single “ Im Shakin”… usually they end it with “Popstars” or “Losing All Control” but they played those like in the middle…During their last song, this asian girl wearing this tacky ass outfit, like a yellow skirt, came up on stage and started dancing next to Robert, and her ass got escorted off by two security guys…hahahhaa…
I think Robert was fucked up bad last night too…he was getting all crazy, doing some weird ass moves, and man, I swear, he was like humping the mic everytime he was singing..LOL….he had some great energy at this show than any other one I’ve seen…
They even played the Christmas song “Merry Christmas Everybody” from the Kevin and Bean Almost Acoustic Christmas Album… Robert and Ned came out wearing Santa hats for this one… and Im surprised they did this song, cause 3/5 members I think are Jewish..haha… after the song they threw those hats into the crowd… yuumm
This was the sexist show..lol..im telling you… Louie took his jacket off, and DAMN..thats all I have to say..haha, Robert, as always, is sexy, Taylor has his moments, Matt is Matt….and NED…O_O he took his shirt off and WOW, no wonder he was an Abercrombie and Fitch model..lol…
BUT!!! Besides from being sexy…. They have awesome sounds….. I don’t think their second album will be as great as the first, but, we’ll see, if they put, “Oh What a Day” and “The Floor” , *cross fingers*, they’ll definitely have a rockin album…..
And that was Rooney last night..
And its time for The O.C. ..
