so this is just because i had to tell someone and didnt know who.... dont read if you dont want, i am just to excited to hold it in
For the last couple of months i have really been trying to get an internship, or at least a job that has SOMETHING to do with my major (which for those of you who dont know, is marketing), as some of you may or may not know i had a class this summer that i really took off in and realized that this is what i want to do. It is Marketing Research.
this past week i have been to a couple of interviews with in Marketing... I have gotten or been called back for most of them. (not bragging just telling the facts).
this week i have been to two very important internship interviews.
1. for aflac. and 2. for a research marketing firm in paw paw
i had tryed for the research marketing internship before but it was a year ago and i didnt know what i do now
so i went to the aflac interview and it went well and on the spot they asked me for a second interview so on tues. i went to that, but before that interview the marketing research company called me (i was very excited because i didnt think thye were even interveiwing untill late aug. )
so i went ot the aflac interview and they hired me on the spot, i knew that i would be interviewing on thurs. with the other group and wanted to at least interview there,so i told aflac that i would let them know on monday. they said that it was a big decision and they were glad i was taking it seriously.
so i went to the other interview on thursday and they pulled out what i had said last time and it was really scary. they are nice and i was glad that they gave me a second chance.
i told them that i had an opputunity with aflac adn that i needed to know wheather or not i had this internship as soon as possable so that i could tell them. they understood and said that they should know by next week thus. or fri., i thought this was reasonable so i said that would be great
today i was on my tour and i got a call from teh Research firm, i didnt answer but when i checked my voice mail and saw it was them i had a huge lump in my stomach because i thought they would tell me that they had found someone more qualified.
so i called them back and the first thing she said was that she ahd some good news and that they were impressed with me and that i got the internship
i am very excited and can not beleive that they are giving me this chance.
just wanted to tell someone
