Last week, Sunday dinner was a butternut squash chili with homemade cornbread muffins.
This week, Sunday dinner is a nectarine & pecan tossed spinach salad, Orzo with roasted peppers & goat cheese, and for dessert, home made toffee bars.
Next week, I have no idea. I have all week to search recipes. I am loving my time in the kitchen, being able to focus on it, and the joy behind creating something from scratch. Maybe in another life I'll either be able to do this every day for my family, or get to do it for other families in a restaurant.
I love Sundays. Z and I wake up early, and go to "football church" (Sermon only). Then, I drop him off at Chapman, and go to the gym. After that, I head home to shower, recipe search, and run to the grocery store for our regular shopping as well as gather ingredients. Then, I start cooking, baking, relaxing in between to clean the kitchen, do chores, relax, catch up on TiVo, pay bills, anything my heart desires. :)
It's quite spectacular to come home, put the finishing touches on dinner, and eat together. The only bad part of Sundays is that the next day is Monday, and I have to go to work instead of repeat my Sunday.
