So I get this call this morning from Bill and he sounds a little upset. Apparently they took his brother to the hospital sometime during the night I think around 4 am because he couldnt move anything from the neck down but he had feeling. By the time we were told they had already given him some steroids and taken an MRI. So they thought they had something close to the symptoms that he was experiencing and they proceed to tell everyone that it is called Guillian Baraet Syndrome. It is something that is completely beatable but just takes some time. So when the Neurosurgeon comes in this afternoon, (a real rude asshole) he does his evaluation and looks over the charts and the only thing he tells us is that he ordered a head C/T and some more blood work. So on our way out I happen to over hear him discussing with people at the nurses station and he flat out said that it was deffinitly NOT Guillian Baraet Syndrome. If not that what the hell could he be thinking.....
