I didn't want to put the effort into deciphering all 10 Screenplays, let alone Film Editing, Art Direction, and the like. But Children of Men should get several nods, The Fountain should take Cinematography, and LMS has a great shot at Screenplay if it doesn't have to compete against Departed (adapted, I assume) and Babel (original?). Also, Departed for Film Editing and Sound Mixing, calling it right now.
Anyway, I haven't consulted any Oscar "authorities," this is purely from reading reviews and watching trailers and films. I guess I'll find out how close I was in a few hours. But of course, this sort of stuff isn't all that hard to predict--4 locks in many cases. Maybe another year I'll put in some work and go for 10-15 categories. I'm just too lazy for that right now.
