MISC. NOTES DEPARTMENT
- Maya is taken from precisely where Bunshichi picked her up and took her for a ride to an Executive Council meeting in 110. Of course, the events this doesn't really matter--she's been drained of all her ki since chapter 87. The only thing that is now keeping her alive is whatever remains of her ki in the family cursed sword, Reiki. In canon, only one man who has mastered the art of bringing bodies back to life can bring her back, but in camp, we have Deus Ex Moglega, and so she's going to be spending her first few months in camp in her nine year old form to conserve her ki as much as possible, except where sexily badass.
- On the whole neutralizing thing: The last person with the power lived ages ago, in Edo. She's a magatama shrine maiden. she can neutralize ki. And somehow, when her power is reversed, she can bring on power instead, as the reversal of the seal brought on the Red Feather powers that power the major power families. This is all from a flashback that Reiki (the sword) is showing Aya.
- Maya's had Reiki for years. It enables people who have the Dragon's Eye ability to activate or amplify their powers and is often referred to as a cursed sword. Maya, having never possessed the ability to activate it, (probably because of the Amataratsu seal), was given it when she was eight and was told not to let anyone touch it. Stuff Happened when Shin touched the sword, and it's been a mess since. I'm probably going to go forth and essay on Maya's important canon people when I go back and review, which will probably be the Jyukenbu, Mitsuomi, Bunshichi, and Shin.
- I'm guessing that Maya will be able to get some form of flashbacks from the sword through her sister in canon to teach her on however the seal works and so I'm willing to wait the months time it's going to take Oh!Great to GET THERE. I'd rather go with closer to canon then not, at least until I get some more hints other then walking around naked and unconscious and emoing as to where the plot is going with her.
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS COMMENTS AND CONCERNS--since I know I was freaking out too much to ask for crit properly in the voting post over, all things, CFUW--CAN BE DIRECTED TO THE BOX.
