New to LJ! [10/26/08 EDIT]
Hi you one person everyone! My name is Kat, and I am compleeeeetely new to livejournal! So, I will be messing up CONSTANTLY. And my journals will not be pretty, no sir. I used to know basic HTML, but it's been two years or so. :'D
And I am a total nerd. I really only got this livejournal so I could get in on discussions others were having in fandoms.
I've been stalking lurking around (lurking isn't much better), oh, say, five or six communities around here. Because I am a major television geek. Geek in general, actually.
And really, all the good fanfic is here, rather than at fanfiction.net. :DD
I personally don't have anything to offer, actually. I'm a shoddy fanfic writer (even though I love it), and am absolute rubbish at making icons or graphics of any kind. I really just want to praise the many fanfic writers I absolute worship around here. And I mean that in the least creepy way possible.
SO my communities-to-join-so-I-can-praise-the-magnificent-writers (do you have to join to praise? I am not sure of this.):
- honey_syn,: dedicated to the most lovely webcomic I have ever read. It's a boyxboy webcomic with an ACTUAL PLOT. and THREE-DIMENSIONAL CHARACTERS. :DD It brings me great joy.
- eureka_fanfic: because... I love this show so hard.
- marshal_science: I support Carter/Stark-lovin' because... I love those guys. And they have the best chemistry ever. And... it's just plain sexy.
- psych_tv: This show is magic. MAGIC. Like rainbows and puppies and pots o' gold and things of that nature.
- torchwoodcoffee: and although I love Ianto (brace yourself) I do not support Janto. I don't have anything against it, I just don't like it.
- house_wilson: ...yeah. It's true.
and finally:
- drakexjosh: DO NOT JUDGE ME, on the grounds that I A) watch lame kids' shows (even though I'm perfectly entitled to, I'm only 16, thank you, and it isn't lame, I swear) or B) support stepcest. But how can you not see it? There's a couple of episodes where the slash is literally stabbing you in the corneas.
Did I mention I'm a slash fan? I mean, I'm not one of those people that'll slash any two guys or gals just because they're hot and/or I'm bored. Any slash pairing I support has an actual basis, I think.

[EDIT: (10/26/08) NEW FANDOM - Supernatural and J2 RPS. I've only been into these for a couple of weeks, but I kinda dive right in.
What? Why SPN? My dear, it's simple: Guns, hot guys, action, drama, extremely attractive male leads, humor, sexy car, sexy men, GUYSWHOBURNLIEKWHOA.
And J2? Since when have I been okay with RPS? Yes, I do realize I used to be very uncomfortable with the idea of writing about real people.
This all changed when I read gatorgrrrl's J2 fic Inevitable which totally blew my mind. (yes, I was there for the Drake & Josh fics) Anyhoo, once I got over my issues and read it for the incredible writing itself, I really really enjoyed it. Then, being a bit obsessive, I went to youtube. Which led me to realize, HOT DAMN THESE GUYS ARE LOVE. <3 ...So, yeah. That's my lifestory. :D]
