So it's wednesday evening and I'm bored once again. We really need to get a tv that works in our lounge cause there is nothing to do when there is nobody on msn, so I sit here playing snood and listening to music. As fun as snood is it gets redundant.
I mean I suppose I could make some other friends but that's a long process and people I meet seem to always be doing homework. Am I missing something? Why am I never doing homework? I still achieve decent marks and I seem to do zero work compared to everybody else. I guess in the end they are probably learning more cause they probably absorb what they read while I just get the work done and forget about it.
I went on my field trip today to Fanshawe, since I will be going there next year if I remain in the MTP program. I have to say I was utterly disappointed to find out that the Fanshawe Radio station is a mainstream urban hip hop station, which SUCKS! I can't stand the pre-fabricated beats and lyrics about bitches, bling, and poppin' a cap into some negroes ass. I mean the program still sounds interesting but I'm going to have to take a harder look into what I want to get into, I love music and think radio would be an exciting career. So I guess I'll just have to suck it up because when I graduate I'll have to take a job wherever I can get one so it may mean having to make sacrifices on my own personal taste in music. Bah! Everybody can tune in when I do my weekly show when I play hits like R. Kelly, Fat Joe, Jay-z and Eminem. It wouldn't be so bad if I could choose the music because I do enjoy underground rap where they actually have something worthy to say with their lyrics...examples being El-p and Dizzee Rascal.
However, the other streams also looked extremely interesting as well so I might decide to take one of the other streams. It will all depend on availability and my marks. Oh joy. The nice thing in one way about next year will be is that all my classes will be in the same building which means no walking, but apparantly I might as well just live in that building cause I'm gonna be there so much, which won't be so terrible as long as I'm enjoying what I'm doing.
So that is my little rambling about my decision for the world of university. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
Oh yes...Garden State has changed my life as well.
And lastly, it has been discussed that at some point in time this year we need to have a Pauly Shore movie marathon...cause we're CRAZY BOYS!!
