An update
Lately I've been posting how much my job annoys me. I'm sorry! Those are boring posts to read and I shouldn't bother you with my blabbering on about a great job that I just happen to be frustrated with at the moment. So I'll move on to happier things.
I got to be a model yesterday. We went to Oldtown St. Charles for a shoot for Divine Threads, a catalog for religious-themed clothing. One of my friends (the bride who had the crazy bridesmaids) is their graphic designer and she needed some more people for the catalog. I got to wear some great (read: not) clothes and have some fun with friends. Oldtown would have been the perfect spot to do engagement photos. We were behind the main street and there were some great old buildings that added a lot of texture to the photo. I can't wait to see how they turned out (if they're not horrible, I might even post them!).
We had that crazy bachelorette party last weekend - without dancing. A few of the bride's normal friends and I waited until about 10 o'clock until they decided to come out to the Landing with us. Then we bar hopped for a bit, but no one danced. It was very strange. I spoke with the bride at the photo shoot yesterday who said there won't be much dancing at the reception, but there will be a DJ. There's an open bar, so of course we'll be dancing!
My dad was in town last weekend, and it's looking like Mom and Dad will be coming into town this weekend. Tons of parental unit time, but I haven't seen them since the Texas reception in July.
I think we may have found a better car than the Yaris. It's at the Saturn in Metro East, so I'm hoping to take a field trip this weekend! It's a real cute white Corolla that's actually in our price range. Yay!
