In honor of our three month-a-versary, I figured I'd post some photos from the wedding. Feel free to oooh and ahh. Or ignore this post. Whatever! :)
Anyway, these are not professional pics, but you get the idea. Who knows when I'll have the professional ones scanned and ready to go.
Our gorgeous church in the round:
With awesome architectural detail:
The groom waiting patiently for his turn to walk down the aisle:
Mothers lighting the two smaller Unity Candles:
Nice shot of a bridesmaid and groomsman walking in front of the huge organ (and yes, it sounded amazing!)
The neatest picture (you can almost see me behind the stained glass in the background):
Daddy's little girl sees her soon-to-be-husband for the first time that day:
What most of the congregation saw for a majority of the wedding:
Then we moved! And lit the Unity Candle that both of our mothers had lit earlier:
One of my favorite pictures - I had no bridesmaid to take the bouquet, since we were all kneeling (I got a giggle from the congregation at this one):
Best friends of bride and groom singing bride's favorite song as Communion meditation. Not a dry eye in the house (How Beautiful by Twila Paris):
First kiss:
The new Mr. and Mrs!
With the marriage license:
Then the obligatory photos in the church:
Adorable brother of groom and cousin of groom (as flowergirl):
Close up of the bridesmaid bouquet:
Me outside the church with my glass of champagne:
Kissing in the back of the Hummer limo:
Then we went to Forest Park for photos. It was windy.
Me and my girls:
Don't ask me why we are running:
A maid and a cute dog that wandered by:
My new husband making a vulgar gesture:
And then with a beer can:
Boys hanging out while the girls get their photos done:
Walking from the limo to the reception hall:
Now at the reception hall - but it looked much cooler with all the lights off and the Christmas lights twinkling:
Our attempt at a waltz to a Rossini overture (everyone admired us for trying and not doing the traditional middle school sway):
Mmm, the cake was delicious:
Me and one of my best friend dancing:
Traditional garter things:
Everybody dancing and having a good time (better shot of decorations):
Towards the end of the night, the boys sang "You've Lost that Loving Feeling" to me (an inside joke from high school):
And made a butt of themselves:
Bride and groom thanking everyone at the end of the night:
We had an awesome going away in a 1950s white Rolls Royce.
