Today, I am a mother

... Ok, so not really.

But I feel like one! My 10 year old cousin is in town for acting camp and she asked her mom if she could live with me and Mike for the week. Sure, no problem, I said! Her dad decided to come up with her and stay at my grandmother's house (about thirty minutes south) to help her out with somethings and also pick my cousin up when I couldn't - I do have a job, you know, and camp ends at 3 pm.

Anyway, I felt like such a mother. Last night, she and I folded laundry together while watching Center Stage. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to have someone enjoy your kind of movie! Mike definitely doesn't like that movie. Anyway, this morning, I got up and got myself dressed; made lunch for Mike, my cousin, and myself; got Mike out of the door to work; woke my cousin up and got her showered and dressed; gathered up the dry cleaning and dropped it off; dropped her off at camp and came to work. I was exhausted by 9 am.

I don't know how I'm going to do it.. be a parent. But I really wanna try.

.... in a few years.
