He ain't 'fraid of no ghost!

Shortpacked!: I didn't use a filter to make that, I swear.

Ray, if someone asks you to photograph Batman punching a ghost, you say yes!

Yeah, my 6-inch Ray Stanz arrived today from MattyCollector.com!  He joins my Egon Spengler and Slimer, awaiting that fateful day when all four Ghostbusters are assembled.  Winston comes in December, but then every other month that follows we get Walter Peck and a slimed version of Peter Venkman.  Screw that!  I want a normal Peter Venkman! Well, can't fault Mattel for wanting to stretch out the natural life of the line.

Ray Stanz is the same as Egon from the neck down, save the nametag.  This
I didn't know until a few weeks ago, but apparently everyone else did.  This is what I get for not going to convention panels and generally not paying attention.  So it's weird, they seem to have scaled Ray Stanz' head correctly to his own body, but that basically makes his head look tiny compared to Egon.  So Ray looks a little pinheaded.  He's got a small head.

But hey, otherwise, sweet deal.  The likeness, again, is great.  There wasn't anything wrong with Egon's body, so that stands for Ray's.  I even discovered some articulation on Ray that I didn't realize was there before on Egon!  His wrists bend at the joint!  They don't just rotate.  That helps in holding their weapons.  (Ray's is a little stiffer than Egon's, but not by too much.  Egon's is pretty floppy!)

That sorta spiraled into dirty-sounding territory.

Ray's accessory was a 3-D sculpt of the Ghostbuster's logo.  The ghost appears to be glow-in-the-dark plastic, though I haven't tried it yet.  It's kinda neat, but expendable.  Slimer was cooler, and the containment unit wall that Walter Peck's coming with is neat as well.  But the logo thing I can take or leave.

Oh, and today (Friday) is my wife's birthday!  Wish Maggie a happy one.
