what about the planets destroyed by the death star? Are you saying artoo has killed far over 2 planets worth? (I'm bad at star wars, I think there were two planets destroyed, I'm probably wrong.)

I didn't pay attention to the details. Someone claimed he fired a superweapon or something that wiped out a fleet or planet or... something. Just an astronomical number of dead.

Dark Empire II/Empire's End from Dark Horse Comics. Artoo remote-piloted the Eclipse II (a ginormous Star Dreadnaught) into the Galaxy Gun (the Emperor's newest superweapon). The explosion (and the misfiring of an armed warhead) also took out the planet Byss (which the Gun was orbiting) and most of the surviving Imperial fleet (which was clustered around Byss).

Ugh. The Dark Empire series fights with the Jedi Academy Trilogy as the worst piece of Star Wars fiction I've ever read.
