Shortpacked!: Who does that jackass think he is, anyway? For shame.
Also, I did a guest strip for Wapsi Square! He and his wife are, as the news says, going through a rough patch now, so I attempted to give him at least a day's reprieve from the drawy-drawy. Seriously, click through Paul's Paypal button on the lower left under the strip and drop him something. He's gonna need it.
So today Steve-o and I went to go see Little Miss Sunshine, thereby fulfilling my quota of "award-winning heartfelt non-blockbuster movies" to see this year. And, hey, Steve Carell! It took a while to get into it, because it spent so much time setting up the tone of the family, but by the end I was laughing pretty damn hard.
I have to say, at the beginning, the dad really bothered me. He was so evil, but not in this actually evil-evil way, but in a way that I could see how he was emotionally killing everyone around him. Or maybe he just touches a nerve, I dunno.
Everyone in it was brilliant, though. Great acting all around. There were times I forgot Steve Carell was that Daily Show Guy. I recommend it muchly.
