Uh-huh. BTW, where are you getting 'snap on armor' from those pics, anyway (for that matter, where are the people making the 'the head is in the fas-packs' comments getting *that*, either? There are no fas-packs on that toy.)

There are obvious clip-on points for add-on armor, seen on the forearms and on the back of the jet. Jetfire's appearance in the current Transformers: Stormbringer comic is based on this toy, and he has a removeable visored helmet and boosters and armor.
