Grades

My GPA has slipped below 3.5 for the first time ever this quarter... that's ok, it was a hard quarter, and it was my complex variables class that did me in. That was a really disappointing class... I had heard great things about the professor (Kot) and then it was all really boring, not getting to the point, and terrible pi puns. I'm not really sure why my grade was so low, i did well on the homeworks and midterm... maybe i bombed the final. ANYWAY, I did manage a 3.6 in fluid dynamics! How did that happen? Now I'm ready to move on to next quarter... geophysical fluid dynamics I (ATMS 509), Intro to Atmospheric Radiation (ATMS 532... with Qiang Fu!!), dynamical systems & chaos (AMATH 402, hopefully not boring) plus some ungraded seminars, research and colloquium... another busy schedule. And right in the middle of it, I'm taking a week off to go to the AMS Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ, for free! I'll probably be working on homework half of the time, but that's cool. The other half I get to see cool presentations and meet corporate sponsors like Raytheon, Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin, the Feds...

In the meantime, I'm having fun at home sleeping, eating, chilling with Mischa, Cody, Lyzi, etc... all my favorite people from Berkeley. I'm here until the 27th so call me up if you want to hang out.
