So the search for a second job has been fruitless so far. With the crazy schedule that Kidz 'n the Kitchen gave me (which doesn't give nearly enough hours), I wasn't able to get anyone to hire me because my schedule was just all over the map. So I had to cut my Kidz schedule way down to just Saturdays 10-4. Even so, I couldn't get the jewelry store job that started at nine dollars an hour because Saturdays are their busiest day. Grrr. So I was so desperate that I've applied to Camp Watchaug. Pathetic. And if that doesn't work out, I can go back to Stop and Shop no problem. I just wish I could find something that would pay a little more. Plus the entire management team that I'd gotten to know is gone. They liked me, too. It's all different now. Oh well.
I might be in the local paper twice this week. The crazy lady who was attacked by a hermit crab had the town council award me with a "Certificate of Appreciation" or whatever for the whole Neighbor Day incident. And she had the newspaper reporter with a camera and all sorts of people there. Because I wrapped her finger with a bandage and told her to go to a clinic to get it checked out. Sigh. Whatever. Then today, Kidz 'n the Kitchen had a photo shoot to launch our essay contest and promote our "Kidz Sing" night. Which should be interesting in itself. So my beautiful face will be gracing the front page of one paper, and hopefully only the back page of another. God help me.
Hung out with Laura today. You know, the one with the boyfriends? She's doing pretty well right now, actually. The new boy she's involved with she won't call her "boyfriend". She's taking things really slow and won't allow any commitment until she's good and ready. Considering what the last one was like, this is VERY good. I'm ashamed to say I really jumped to conclusions with this new boy. With Laura's track record, I guess it's just easier to say you hate her boyfriend and then figure out reasons for it afterwards. Usually it's not too hard to come up with reasons. I'm trying to like this new one. There are some parts of his story that don't quite check out like the whole car situation or his military status being fuzzy, but there aren't any giant red flags that are screaming and waving their asses off like there have been in the past. He actually seems...well, I wouldn't say normal considering all of the weapons he keeps in his room. But decent. Yeah, that's the word. Decent. And he's licensed for all of the weapons. I've seen the paperwork. He does a lot of martial arts stuff and did a lot of defense training using weapons and stuff with the military. I think that was his specialty. I still don't like how he brought out his AK47 or whatever the hell that thing was with an 11-year old child in the room, but that's been resolved. And I really can't talk. I like to play with bows and arrows in the back yard shooting at a styrofoam deer. But it's still gonna take me awhile to warm up to this one. And I don't think I could ever really trust any boyfriend of Laura's. She's quite the freak magnet.
Well, that's all I got right now. Miss u sjc peoples!!
