Ok, at first I tried to stay neutral. I tried not to favor one person over the other. But then a line got crossed that shouldn't have been crossed. Actually, that line should not have even existed to be crossed. I'm sorry, but when a friend of mine is treated like a criminal and is threatened with arrest, I'm going to be defensive. I'm going to stand up for him and be critical of the opposing side. Not that he was 100% innocent either. He broke a rule or agreement and punishment would be acceptable. But not this. Does the "criminal" part of "criminal trespass" ring a bell? Criminal trespass is something you give to stalkers, rapists, thieves, arsonists, peeping toms. Not some guy who slept over in his girlfriend's room without the roommate's permission. The way this situation has been addressed is just...I don't even know how to describe it. And it pisses me off. And it pisses me off even more that when I voice my opinions that they don't deserve this CRIMINAL treatment, others stop talking to me for it. Ok, you feel like he crossed a line that he shouldn't have. I don't think he did, but I can understand why you'd see it that way. But don't try and punish me for standing up for a friend that is threatened with arrest when, I won't even say it. Forget it. If you don't want to talk to me, fine. You won't ever lose me, by the way. Everything is upsidedown, insideout and backwards right now and it's difficult. We're all angry. We're all upset with eachother but that doesn't mean this has to be a permanent divide. I'm hoping we can figure this out. But for now, if you don't want to talk to me that's fine, just know I'm not blocking you out.
