Ok, my neighbor is calling her cat and it's SO irritating. Speaking of cats, my sister is taking care of her friend's cats while the family goes to Wisconsin. (They have family there.) Well, they're also having their bathroom redone this week so there's workmen coming in during the day to work inside the house. Well, I give Jen a ride yesterday (because it seems I'm her summertime chauffeur) up to the house to feed the cats. She's inside for a few minutes and comes out in tears, blubbering, eyeliner running, etc...First thing I thought, oh no, the cat died! But it didn't. But we were afraid it would. What happened was, earlier in the day some guy came in to cut cement. There was dust EVERYWHERE!! And it's a small house so when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere! In the cat's dish, in the water, in the living room, on the sofa, everywhere! Damn jackass didn't bother to try to cover anything, didn't clean up anything, didn't even try to partition off the kitchen or anything. I. Was. So. Pissed. There was stuff missing, too. Nothing really bad, just a list that had all the phone numbers and directions about the cats, one of the food dishes (which I found under the oven. Don't ask, no idea.)...And he had unplugged the refrigerator. And didn't think it would be necessary to plug it back in. We were lucky, we got there and the stuff was still pretty cold. It wasn't long enough to be spoiled. But no one was going to be there until the next afternoon, by which time all the perishables would have perished. Grrr...A bunch of other stuff was off too, but I'm not gonna get into it. One of the contractors appeared while Jen was melting down (and scared the shit out of us too.). I think he was the head honcho or something. I just know he was pissed when he saw the house. He made some calls, I hope the cement dude got fired because that was just unacceptable. The air was wicked thick with dust and there's this ancient cat that was in the corner of the living room because that was the only place he could go. Kind of. All the dust settled by later in the afternoon when I went back with my dad to check on him. He was ok, the air was better so we decided he'd be better off staying there instead of evacuating him like we were going to. He's missing today, though. I hope he's alright. Jen's gonna be so upset if he's not.

Other less boring news, or maybe more boring news, it depends on the perspective, I guess. Went to the beach yesterday, well, two beaches. I spent some time at the state beach (which was crowded as hell) and then met up with a friend of mine to go to her private beach which was sparsely populated. It was amazing! I loved it. She's now my best friend ;P Too hot for the beach today so escaped into the air-conditioned Crystal Mall with Jen. Somehow she convinced me to buy a pair of boxer shorts. No idea how, she tends to have that effect on me. I find I spend the most money when I'm around my sister. Not good. Definitely not good. Well, I'm out, much to your relief, I'm sure. Tty'all lata, miss u sjc peoples!
