Women and Startups A well written article. Nothing I didn't know, and nothing that I hadn't already articulated before. But it's great to have it in words from a credible source. The more I explore motherhood, the more I answer my questions on what life should be about - achievement, enjoyment or atonement. For me the choices were truly only the first two. I think it's a bit bullshitty to talk about kids being an "achievement". Although by the nature of child rearing and the self improvement that it affords, it is holistic and includes the other two.
There is enjoyment in achievement, and hence I will always veer towards it, but through the idea of the self & enjoyment first. Perhaps this drive is different for men, and other "insecure overachievers".
