EEEE UPDATE TIME!
Okay so I just got back from my weekend in NYC. After seeing Chicago on July 26th, Hailey and her mom decided to go to NYC for the weekend and I had nothing better to do so I went along, getting 2 New York trips in 2 weeks! Ahh, so anyways. It was so fun, everything went so well.
On Saturday we walked around, went to SoHo and visited Grenwich Village where NYU is. They have SUCH a pretty campus. I'm not planning on going there, but it was still cool to see it. Hailey and Cindy tricked me into actually spending money, so I got a pair of earrings in SoHo. After that, we went back to times square and stood in the TKTS line to get tickets for a show on broadway. We weren't sure which one to see at first but we eventually decided on Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate. I really didn't have great expectations at first because I never would have thought her to be good on broadway, but boy was I wrong. More about that later. So after getting the tickets we ate at a nice and quaint French restaurant and then went back to the hotel. Later that night we went to see the show. OH MAN. IT WAS SOOO GOOD. It is the most adorable musical I have ever seen. Christina Applegate was AMAZING and SO cute and the whole cast was so talented, and AH I just loved everything about it. After the show we waited outside the stage door to get her autograph and take pictures. (she signs everyone's, that is so nice). I'll have them up on my webshots later.
On Sunday we waited in the TKTS line again and got tickets to see Forbidden Broadway which is an Off-Broadway show that makes fun of all the current musicals on broadway. We spend the rest of the day shopping at the street fairs and I got a necklace, sunglasses, and earrings. The show was really funny, they made fun of Wicked and a bunch of other shows that I've seen. After walking around a bit more we went home. Ha, I have to wait 9 days and then I go back again to see Wicked. <333
Okay enough of my ranting. Sorry that was so long. But oh yeah. I am addicted to Starbucks' iced chai lattes. They are SO good, but very expensive in New York.
I hope everyone is having a nice week! <3
EDIT: We saw roughly 48 people walking around and using their iPods. Damn.
